On July 6, 2020, the State Council of Professors announced Decision No. 18 / QD-HDGSNN of June 30, 2020 approving the list of rated scientific journals in 2020. Vietnamese Journal of Food Control safety has been approved in the list of the Board of Professors of Pharmacy, Chemistry - Food Technology and Biology since 2020. The Vietnamese Journal of Food Control - a unit of the National Institute for Food Control published under the license No. 664 / GP-BTTT dated December 25, 2017 of the Ministry of Information and Communications. The Journal has international standard code ISSN 2615-9252 (printed version). Currently, the Journal publishes 04 issues/year including at least 02 in English.
The scope of the Journal includes reviews and articles on scientific research in the following fields:
- Testing food quality and safety;
- Quality assurance of testing results;
- Food poisoning;
- Risk assessment of chemical and biological hazards in food;
- Risk management and risk communication;
- Technologies related to food;
- Food quality assurance;
- Other issues related to food and food safety.
The Editorial Board of the Journal includes professors and scientists in the fields of chemistry, biology, pharmacy, preventive medicine, food technology, toxicology, food safety management, etc. There are 02 foreign professors, Professor Kyoung-Woong Kim - Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), Korea and Professor Pavel Shur, Federal Scientific Center for Medical and Preventive Health Risk Management Technologies, Russian Federation. All drafts of articles sent to the Journal are reviewed by 02 scientists whose majors are consistent with the content of the articles and are amended in detail before being accepted for publication. Summaries of articles published on the magazine are posted on the website http://nifc.gov.vn/. An online posting system of the Journal has been setting up, which is expected to be completed and used in 2020.
The approval of the State Council of Professors to the list of scientific journals scored in 2020 is a recognition for the initial development of the journal and an opportunity to develop content quality, promote widely and attract scientists to know and post.
