On September 22, 2025, the Vietnam Journal of Food Control (VJFC) was officially indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), recognizing its efforts to bring articles published in the Journal to the global scientific community.
In the context of deep international integration in science and technology, enhancing the position and accessibility of Vietnamese scientific journals is an important goal. Marking a significant step in this process, the Vietnam Journal of Food Control (VJFC) is pleased to announce its official inclusion in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) (https://doaj.org/toc/2734-9152). Indexing in DOAJ is not only an important milestone for the Journal's development but also affirms the contribution of scientists in food testing and safety in Vietnam to the shared knowledge repository of humanity.

DOAJ is recognized as a leading global, reputable database specializing in open access scientific journals. A journal's acceptance into DOAJ signifies that it has met strict standards of transparency, academic quality, publishing ethics, and full compliance with the principles of open publishing. Therefore, the presence of VJFC in DOAJ clearly demonstrates its commitment to maintaining a professional editorial process, a rigorous peer-review system, and the goal of providing knowledge openly and freely to the global academic community.

Joining DOAJ will bring practical benefits to VJFC and the research community in Vietnam. It helps elevate the status and international visibility of VJFC, enabling research works on food testing, quality management, and food safety from Vietnam to be more easily discovered, accessed, and cited by researchers and scholars worldwide. This breaks down geographical barriers, allowing valuable domestic research results to reach regional and international levels. This event motivates the Journal to continuously improve, further enhance content quality and publishing processes, aiming for international standards.

VJFC's indexing history from its establishment to 2025
As a specialized scientific publication of the National Institute for Food Control, Ministry of Health, the Vietnam Journal of Food Control (accessible at: https://vjfc.nifc.gov.vn/) consistently strives to publish high-quality scientific research results, review articles, and academic exchanges in key areas such as new analytical and food testing methods; food quality management and safety; risk assessment; and food regulations and standards. Currently, the Journal periodically publishes 04 issues per year in both English and Vietnamese, in both print and electronic formats (Under License No. 150/GP-BVHTTDL dated October 30, 2025, from the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism).
